Bellynesian Fusion with Morgan
Bellynesian is a fusion of the fluid movements of the belly and torso of belly dance with the hip and arm movement of Polynesian dance forms Hula and Tahitian.
The Tahitian percussive dances such as the 'Ote'a, merge perfectly with the belly dance techniques used in drum solos.
The blend of styles allows one to know two different but very similar dances and enjoy the patterns they create. The result is a dance that evokes the Pacific isles with the entrancing movements of oriental dance.
Morgan was introduced to the wonderful art of belly dance 10 years ago and has been in love ever since. She believes that studying dance is a life-long process, and is always working to increase her technique and vocabulary. Morgan has continued to grow by studying and performing various movement styles including Egyptian, Tribal Fusion, ATS, Polynesian( Tahitian and Hula) Style. She has also had the pleasure of studying under wonderful instructors including Zarouhi Otchy, Lurainya Koerber, Amala Gameela, Nayna, and Lori, Wendy and Destiny of Queens of D’Nile. Her Polynesian journey includes workshops with Aloha on the Mainline, and is currently with Saliima of Aloha in Motion.
